FC PORTO (LDWWW) ($2.94) v LIVERPOOL (LLWDW) ($2.22)

The Reds travel to the Estadio Do Drago (Stadium of Dragons) looking to extend their excellent Group Stage form with an away win against FC Porto. We expect this to be a high scoring game and we favour a draw on account of the pressure cooker atmosphere created by the Porto fans cancelling out Liverpool’s excellent attacking form.

Porto were leaky in defence during the group stage although they were also playing in arguably the most even group, paired with Monaco, RB Leipzig and Besiktas. One of the biggest positives was their ability to score in all of their group games, although they also conceded in all but one group game (3-0 win over Monaco). This is particularly concerning against Liverpool who scored pretty much at will in the group stage, including two 7-0 wins against Spartak Moscow and Maribou.

FINAL SAY: Liverpool are looking absolute superb in attack with Salah and Firmino showing world class chemistry in their match over the weekend against Southampton. One of the biggest positives of that combination is the selflessness of both players with Salah contributing to the first goal to Firmino and then the Brazilian returning the favour just before half-time for Salah to score himself.

BEST BETS: Goals over 2.5 ($1.73), Both teams to score – Yes ($1.58), FC Porto-Draw ($1.62)

REAL MADRID (WLWDW) ($2.36) v PARIS SAINT GERMAIN (WWWWW) ($2.62)

This is the kind of match-up you would expect from a Champions League final…certainly not the Round of 16. Los Blancos must face arguably the most talented team in Europe courtesy of their second place finish in the group stage and based on their current form are a chance to be eliminated.

PSG are in dominant form in Ligue 1 although with the talent they have at their disposal that is hardly surprising or particularly impressive. You can take a gun to a knife fight or you can take an army tank to a slingshot fight, and that is essentially what the Parisians have done to their domestic competition.

FINAL SAY: Both teams have incredible weapons in attack with PSG the more consistent team defensively in recent weeks. There are concerns over Real Madrid this season and whilst they were marginally put to rest with a win over the weekend against Real Sociedad, it will take some more convincing before we back them against a team of PSG’s quality.

Punters should pay particular attention to the fact that the Madrid defence gave up two goals to a team currently in 14th position on La Liga table. Cavani, Neymar and Mbappe will be licking their lips.

BEST BETS: Both teams to score – Yes ($1.39), Goals under 3.5 ($1.69)
